Here we have a recipe for your horses (we have tried it several times already, of course):

Firmly knead all ingredients for the dough. Roll out on a lined with aluminum foil surface and cut out with a baking tin star. Allow to dry for about 4 hours at room temperature. Bake the cinnamon stars on a lined with baking paper at 250 degrees for about 3-5 minutes. Don't leave it too long in the oven because they are too dry otherwise. Let them cool down well and prepare from powdered sugar, cinnamon and a few drops of water a tenacious frosting.
